likelyPrime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Rajasthan on Saturday to dedicate, inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth around ₹1.06 lakh crore across sectors including petrochemicals, transport, railways, roads, renewable energy, aviation and power infrastructure.
The Prime Minister will begin his visit in Jodhpur by inaugurating the new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport and launching the Modified UDAN Scheme before travelling to Balotra to dedicate the HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL) at Pachpadra, India’s first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex.
Backed by an allocation of ₹28,840 crore over the next decade, the Modified UDAN Scheme aims to strengthen regional air connectivity by developing 100 aerodromes, constructing 200 helipads and expanding the use of indigenous aircraft under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
PM Modi will also inaugurate Jodhpur Airport’s new ₹480-crore terminal, which can handle 20 lakh passengers annually and blends Rajasthan’s traditional architecture with modern, sustainable design.
At Balotra, the Prime Minister will dedicate the 9 MMTPA HRRL refinery, developed by HPCL and the Rajasthan government at a cost of over ₹79,450 crore.
Featuring one of India’s highest Nelson Complexity Index ratings of 17 and a petrochemical capacity of 2.4 MMTPA, the complex will likely strengthen energy security, reduce petrochemical imports, promote downstream industries and generate significant employment.
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the ₹13,000-crore Jaipur Metro Phase II project and inaugurate key rail, road, renewable energy and power transmission projects.
He will hand over appointment letters to around 54,000 newly recruited Rajasthan government employees before travelling to Gujarat to inaugurate the CG Semi OSAT facility in Sanand.
