The expressway spans 594 kilometres, running from Bijoli village to Judapur Dandu village. It directly connects the western and eastern regions of the state and significantly improves mobility and travel efficiency.
The project will link 12 districts, including Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Raebareli, Pratapgarh, and Prayagraj. It will also connect more than 500 villages, improving access across both rural and urban areas.
Officials state that the expressway will reduce logistics costs and improve supply chain efficiency, directly benefiting industries and trade.
Faster connectivity will enable smoother movement of goods and services, strengthening economic activity across the region.
Uttar Pradesh already holds a significant share of India’s expressway network, and this addition will further expand its infrastructure capacity.
The project will position the state as a major connectivity hub, attracting investment and encouraging industrial growth.
The expressway will also function as an industrial corridor, supporting long-term development and creating new economic opportunities.
Improved connectivity to key religious centres such as Prayagraj will boost tourism and increase visitor footfall.
Overall, the Ganga Expressway will enhance regional integration, drive economic growth, and strengthen both industrial and cultural development across the state.
