PM Modi is to hold 7 meetings on Sunday covering a range of topics. The meetings will take up the matters of immediate concern.
As per the IANS, the post-cyclone situation is a major concern and the first meeting will review the same.
Cyclone Remal on May 27 brought heavy rains and damages as it made landfall in West Bengal at 135 kmph. Northeastern states are especially hit making these states the centre of concern in the meeting.
The PM will review the situation across the country amid the heatwave and soaring temperature. On Wednesday, in its evening bulletin, IMD revealed that the temperature at Mungeshpur in Delhi surged to 52.9 degrees Celsius.
Most of the North Indian states are under the effect of heatwaves with temperatures exceeding 45 degrees.
Amid the seventh phase of elections on June 1, Uttar Pradesh saw the unfortunate loss of 33 lives due to the heatwave.
Other meetings will include a session on the agenda of the 100-day programme. The development comes at the back of exit polls predicting the third term for Narendra Modi as Prime Minister.
Before starting the campaign for elections, PM Modi had made it clear that his government would take all the important decisions in the first 100 days of the government.
The majority of exit polls on Saturday predicted the third term for the NDA government.
A meeting is to be held to review the preparation for World Environment Day by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
