PM Modi To Distribute 61,000 Government Job Letters At Nationwide Rozgar Mela Event

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute over 61,000 government job appointment letters to newly recruited youth on Saturday. The event will take place during the 18th edition of the Rozgar Mela.

The Prime Minister will address the programme through video conferencing. The Rozgar Mela will be organised simultaneously at 45 locations across the country.

Candidates selected from different parts of India will join multiple Central government ministries and departments.

These include the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Department of Financial Services, and the Department of Higher Education.

The Prime Minister’s Office said the initiative reflects the government’s top priority on employment generation. Rozgar Mela serves as a key platform to convert this vision into action.

Since its launch, the initiative has issued more than 11 lakh recruitment letters nationwide.

The government continues to scale the programme to create structured employment opportunities for youth.

Earlier, the 17th Rozgar Mela took place in October 2025 at 40 locations. That round saw the distribution of over 51,000 appointment letters to newly selected candidates.

The previous appointments covered departments such as the Ministry of Railways, Department of Posts, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Higher Education, and Department of Financial Services.

Central Public Sector Enterprises also participated. These included Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Coal India Limited, GAIL, and ONGC.

New appointees will also undergo structured training through ‘Karmayogi Prarambh’. The online programme runs on the iGOT Karmayogi platform. It offers over 3,600 e-learning courses for flexible, device-based learning.

The training aims to build foundational skills and improve administrative efficiency among recruits.

The Prime Minister launched the Rozgar Mela series on October 22, 2022. The initiative recognises youth as key drivers of national development.

The government expects Rozgar Melas to accelerate employment creation and strengthen youth participation in nation-building.
