Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi on Thursday.

Centred on the theme ‘Inclusive Human Development for Viksit Bharat @2047’, the meeting seeks to formulate strategies that ensure balanced growth and improved quality of life for people across all sections of society.

Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors from across the country will participate in discussions on a development framework designed to strengthen human capital and expand economic opportunities.

The agenda includes enhancing skills, encouraging entrepreneurship, improving healthcare outcomes, and promoting social equity.

Leaders are also expected to explore ways to create durable employment opportunities while supporting innovation and enterprise at the grassroots level.

Participants will devote a significant portion of the discussions to developing an effective execution roadmap.

Participants will examine how governance reforms, digital public infrastructure, institutional partnerships, and data-based monitoring systems can accelerate development objectives and ensure measurable results.

The council will further review proposals emerging from the 5th National Conference of Chief Secretaries held in December last year.

The council will consider recommendations on early childhood learning, school education, higher education, workforce readiness, and extracurricular development.

State leaders are likely to use the platform to present region-specific priorities and developmental requirements.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday and will outline the state’s key policy concerns while seeking greater support for infrastructure and welfare programmes.

Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has also confirmed his participation and stated that he intends to raise matters linked to Karnataka’s growth and development. He expressed confidence that cooperation between the Centre and the state would help advance projects beneficial to the people.
