PM Modi Thanks Global Leaders For Messages On Historic Milestone

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has responded to congratulatory messages from heads of government and state across the world after setting a new record as India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister.

The leaders commended his governance and recognised the enduring support PM Modi has received from Indian voters.

In his message to Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, PM Modi conveyed his gratitude and expressed optimism about expanding cooperation under the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The Prime Minister also thanked Guyana President Irfaan Ali for his kind remarks and reiterated his commitment to strengthening collaboration between the two countries.

Responding to US President Donald Trump, PM Modi emphasised the importance of further enhancing the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership to advance shared interests and global cooperation.

The Prime Minister also welcomed the message from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, noting that relations between India and Israel would continue to deepen in the coming years.

PM Modi additionally expressed appreciation to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, while reaffirming India’s resolve to broaden engagement with its international partners.

Record-Breaking Tenure

The Prime Minister reached the landmark figure of 4,399 days in office on 10 June, establishing a new record for service as an elected Prime Minister of India.

The achievement places him ahead of Jawaharlal Nehru’s elected tenure and makes him the longest continuously serving elected Prime Minister since India’s independence.

Since assuming office in 2014, PM Modi has secured successive electoral victories in 2019 and 2024, becoming the first leader in decades to win three consecutive mandates.

Over the past twelve years, the government has overseen several high-profile infrastructure and development initiatives, including the new Parliament complex, the Central Vista project, Kartavya Path, Vande Bharat trains, INS Vikrant, the Kashmir rail link, Noida International Airport, the Namo Bharat RRTS network, and the Ganga Expressway.

The congratulatory messages from world leaders underscore the growing significance of India’s international partnerships and the country’s expanding role on the global stage.
