PM Modi accused Pakistan of being the epicenter of terrorism. He stated that Pakistan’s actions have caused immense suffering not only to India but to the entire world.
“The world is no longer in doubt about where the roots of terror lie,” Modi said with deep concern. He stressed that Pakistan’s involvement in fostering terrorism remains a global issue.
Modi highlighted India’s superior cricket record against Pakistan in ICC tournaments. He referenced Virat Kohli’s century that led India to a six-wicket win over Pakistan in the 2025 Champions Trophy group stage. India eventually won the tournament.
“When it comes to the game, I’m not an expert. But the results speak for themselves. India and Pakistan played a match, and the result showed who was better,” Modi said.
Pakistan has only beaten India twice in ICC tournaments — in the 2017 Champions Trophy final and the 2021 T20 World Cup group stage.
Promoting Sports and Olympic Hopes
