In the 105th episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned German singer Cassandra, sparking a surge in Google searches for her. Once again, PM Modi has shown appreciation for Cassandra by sharing a reel from her account on his Instagram.
This has brought Cassandra back into the limelight. In the video shared by PM Modi, she beautifully sings a song about Lord Shri Ram. The lyrics go, “Ram aayenge to angana sajaungi,” making this devotional song one of the most popular bhajans these days.
It’s not the first time PM Modi has shared a song. Previously, he shared a rendition by singer Swati Mishra on his social media handle.
Cassandra, who hails from Germany and goes by the full name Cassandra May Spitman, is a professional singer with expertise in various Indian languages. At 21 years old, she is well-versed in Hindi, Urdu, Assamese, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, Sanskrit, and Kannada. Interestingly, Cassandra has never been to India, but her knowledge of Indian languages and culture is remarkable.
