Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday projected the NDA as a rising political force in Tamil Nadu as the state heads towards Assembly polls.
In a post on X, PM Modi said, “Tamil Nadu is with NDA! I’ll be joining NDA leaders at the rally in Madurantakam later today. Tamil Nadu has decided that it’s time to bid farewell to the corrupt DMK Government.”
He added that the NDA’s governance record and commitment to regional aspirations were resonating with people across the state.

The Prime Minister’s statement sets the tone for a major political rally scheduled for Friday in Madurantakam, located along the Chennai–Tindivanam highway.
The rally will formally mark the launch of the NDA’s campaign for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, with political activity in the state intensifying as the polls draw closer.
BJP state president and legislative party leader Nainar Nagenthran confirmed that PM Modi will address a high-profile public gathering in the afternoon.
He further said the Prime Minister’s visit would kick-start the NDA’s electoral battle in Tamil Nadu and send a strong political message ahead of the polls.
The Madurantakam rally also marks the first major public meeting in the state ahead of the elections and is likely to draw large crowds and volunteers from across Tamil Nadu.
Senior leaders from key NDA constituents, including the AIADMK, BJP, PMK, TMC and AMMK, will attend the rally.
PM Modi’s emphasis on governance, regional aspirations and his criticism of the DMK government reflect the NDA’s broader strategy to project itself as a credible alternative.
The rally is expected to energise party cadres and signal the start of sustained campaign activities across the state.
