Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India’s youth talent and skills have gained global trust as he distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates at the 20th Rozgar Mela on Saturday.

The new appointees joined government organisations across the country, with the event held at 45 locations.

They will serve in ministries and departments including the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services and Ministry of Defence.

Congratulating the new recruits, PM Modi said they were joining the government at an important stage as India works towards its goal of becoming a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047. He further urged them to take decisions that strengthen the vision of a developed and self-reliant India.

PM Modi also highlighted the responsibility of young government employees towards their peers. He said the global community has placed growing trust in India’s youth and expressed confidence in the country’s innovators, entrepreneurs and young talent.

Referring to the recently concluded BRICS Summit, PM Modi said India wants entrepreneurs, farmers, women and young people to actively participate in the grouping’s partnership. He also highlighted the launch of the BRICS Connect and BRICS MSME Cooperation portals.

The Prime Minister said India has concluded Free Trade Agreements with around 40 countries in recent years, creating opportunities for young people to access new markets and explore emerging possibilities.

PM Modi highlighted the National Education Policy, Skill India and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana to prepare youth for changing economic needs.

With the 20th Rozgar Mela, around 12.75 lakh young people have received government appointment letters.

The initiative aims to expand jobs and boost youth participation in India’s development.
