Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday chaired the 52nd meeting of PRAGATI, the ICT-enabled multi-modal platform that promotes proactive governance and accelerates project implementation through close coordination between the Centre and state governments.
During the meeting at Seva Teerth, the Prime Minister reviewed four major infrastructure projects covering the road, power, industrial corridor and metro rail sectors.
These projects span four states and involve an investment of nearly Rs 30,000 crore.
PM Modi examined project timelines, coordination among agencies, issue resolution mechanisms and overall progress. He stressed that delays increase project costs and prevent citizens and industries from receiving the intended benefits on time.
Prime Minister Modi directed concerned Ministries and state governments to address pending issues in mission mode and maintain strict monitoring to ensure timely completion.
The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan in improving planning and accelerating infrastructure development. He called for regular updates of project information, including approvals, utility networks, infrastructure layers and field-level details.
Prime Minister Modi said accurate and real-time data would help authorities identify bottlenecks early, improve coordination and support informed decision-making.
PM Modi also reviewed the progress of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. He encouraged the use of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to strengthen the campaign.
Prime Minister Modi suggested involving NCC cadets and MY Bharat volunteers in awareness drives, patient monitoring and community outreach.
The Prime Minister further reviewed grievances related to cybercrime and digital arrest fraud. He expressed concern over the growing misuse of digital platforms to cheat citizens.
PM Modi called for stronger coordination among law enforcement agencies, banks and digital platforms. He also stressed clear accountability, faster response mechanisms and wider public awareness campaigns to protect citizens from cyber fraud.
