Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived back in Delhi after completing a significant three-day visit to Singapore and Brunei, aimed at enhancing India’s diplomatic and economic relationships with both nations.
In a video shared on the platform X, PM Modi reflected on his time in Singapore, stating, “My visit to Singapore has been a very fruitful one. It will certainly add vigour to bilateral ties and benefit the people of our nations. I thank the government and people of Singapore for their warmth.”

PM Modi Strengthens Bilateral Ties With Singapore; Signs Four Key Agreements
During his stay in Singapore, Prime Minister Modi held discussions with his Singaporean counterpart, Lawrence Wong, at the Parliament House.
Both leaders, accompanied by their delegations, took the opportunity to review the progress in various areas of collaboration between the two countries.
Following their bilateral talks, the two sides signed four significant agreements, covering digital technology, semiconductors, skill development, and healthcare.
In a key moment of the trip, PM Modi extended an invitation to PM Wong to visit India, which was warmly accepted.
The Prime Minister also visited AEM Holdings Ltd’s semiconductor facility, a crucial step as India continues to strengthen its position in the global semiconductor industry.
PM Modi encouraged Singaporean semiconductor firms to participate in the upcoming SEMICON INDIA exhibition, scheduled to take place in Greater Noida from 11-13 September.
In addition to his engagements with PM Wong, Prime Minister Modi held important talks with Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, covering a wide range of topics, including skill development, sustainability, innovation, and connectivity.
The discussions reaffirmed the strong and growing ties between India and Singapore, with both leaders acknowledging the historic connection and mutual respect between the two nations.
The talks also paved the way for further cooperation across political, economic, and security dimensions, as well as in education and cultural exchanges.
Looking ahead, India and Singapore are likely to mark the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic relations next year.
In light of this, both prime ministers agreed to advance their partnership to a new level, cementing their cooperation as a ‘Comprehensive Strategic Partnership’.
PM Modi Engages In Diplomatic Talks With Sultan Bolkiah; Inaugurates New Indian High Commission In Brunei
Before visiting Singapore, PM Modi had stopped in Brunei, where he held talks with Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
Their discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in trade, commerce, and cultural exchanges.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated the new Indian High Commission Chancery in Brunei’s capital, Bandar Seri Begawan.
Reflecting on his discussions in Brunei, PM Modi commented, “Delighted to meet His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. Our talks were wide ranging and included ways to further cement bilateral ties between our nations. We are going to further expand trade ties, commercial linkages and people-to-people exchanges.”
