A resident of Karnataka received an unexpected reply from Prime Minister Narendra Modi after sending him a wedding invitation, drawing attention on social media.
Rajesh Nayak, who hails from Kanihala village in Raichur district, recently married Savitha on 13 April. As a personal gesture, he had mailed an invitation card to the Prime Minister ahead of the ceremony.
A few days after the wedding, Nayak received a letter dated 16 April from the Prime Minister’s office, conveying congratulations and blessings for the newly married couple.
In his message, PM Modi thanked him for the invitation and extended good wishes for a happy and fulfilling married life.
The letter also included advice for the couple, encouraging them to support one another, work together towards their goals and maintain understanding in their relationship.
Nayak later shared a video about the experience, saying he had sent the invitation with hope but without expecting a response. He described receiving the letter as a memorable moment, noting that it reflected the Prime Minister’s attention towards citizens.
Nayak further added that the gesture brought pride not only to him and his family but also to people in his village, who viewed the response as a significant and heartfelt acknowledgement.
