Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a significant visit to Kashi, also known as Varanasi, on February 23. Amidst his itinerary, Prime Minister Modi ceremoniously inaugurated the Amul Banas Dairy Plant. Continuing his engagement, on the following day, the Prime Minister interacted with women beneficiaries who had received Gir cows from the government. These women shared with PM Modi the transformative impact the cows had brought to their lives. They expressed gratitude for the positive changes they experienced since receiving the Gir cows.
Gir cow changed women’s lives
Prime Minister Modi took to his social media account to share a video capturing his insightful interaction with women beneficiaries. Accompanying the video, PM Modi emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to women empowerment, highlighting it as a top priority. He expressed gratification in learning from the mothers and sisters of Baba Vishwanath’s city about the significant positive changes they have experienced in their lives after receiving Gir cows.

‘The cow also solved the family’s problems’
During discussions with the PM, one beneficiary expressed heartfelt gratitude, citing the arrival of a calf in her house after 14 years as an auspicious outcome of receiving the Gir Cow. She affectionately named the calf “Honeybunny.” Another beneficiary shared that the cow had alleviated both personal and familial issues since its arrival. PM Modi was visibly delighted to hear about the transformative impact the cows had brought to the lives of these women.
