PM Modi Praises NDA Schemes; Accuses Grand Alliance Of Exploiting Bihar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, campaigning for the second phase of the Bihar elections, lauded the double-engine government for its development agenda, including efforts to establish semiconductor units.

Addressing a rally in Bhagalpur, PM Modi praised the initiatives that have financially empowered women, particularly the Jeevika Didis.

He emphasised that the NDA government, under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has provided Rs 10,000 assistance to over 1.40 crore women, enabling them to start their own businesses.

PM Modi claimed these funds are directly deposited into beneficiaries’ accounts, linking them to the banking mainstream, something the Congress-RJD alliance had not implemented during their decades of rule.

The Prime Minister criticised the RJD-Congress combine for allegedly looting Bihar and prioritising their personal gains over public welfare.

“Imagine if Bihar’s most corrupt family and the country’s most corrupt family had been in power, this money wouldn’t reach the sisters’ accounts. It would have ended up in their safes,” PM Modi asserted, referring to opposition leaders.

He also reiterated his charge of ‘Congress ki Kanpatti par katta’, highlighting internal conflicts within the Grand Alliance.

PM Modi pointed out that RJD dominates public campaigning, while Congress leaders are barely visible, reflecting deep-seated disagreements within the coalition.

Allegations of Division and Historical Misdeeds

PM Modi accused the Grand Alliance of dividing Bihar on caste and religious lines. He referred to historical incidents, including the Bhagalpur massacre, asserting that the Congress bears long-standing responsibility.

He further criticised their policies, claiming these forced large-scale migration of Biharis to other states.

The Prime Minister labelled the alliance opportunistic, arguing that parties fighting amongst themselves for political gain cannot serve Bihar effectively.

In contrast, PM Modi presented the NDA as a pro-development administration committed to women’s empowerment and financial inclusion.

He cited Jan Dhan accounts, direct cash transfers, and entrepreneurial support as examples of transformative governance under the double-engine government.

By combining social welfare and infrastructural development, PM Modi aimed to reinforce voter confidence in the NDA ahead of Bihar’s second-phase polling.
