
Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his day on April 11 with a spiritual visit to Isagarh in Madhya Pradesh, where he offered prayers at the Guruji Maharaj Temple.
PM Modi also visited Anandpur Dham, located in the village of Anandpur in Ashoknagar district, a center dedicated to spiritual upliftment and philanthropic initiatives.
Spanning 315 hectares, Anandpur Dham houses a modern gaushala (cowshed) with more than 500 cows, agricultural projects, and a charitable hospital under the Shri Anandpur Trust.
The trust also operates schools in Sukhpur and Anandpur and runs Satsang Centers across India, contributing to education and healthcare access in rural Madhya Pradesh.
Major Public Projects In Varanasi
Later in the day, PM Modi visited Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹3,880 crore.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed him at the venue.
Among the major initiatives, Prime Minister Modi launched a road bridge between the Varanasi Ring Road and Sarnath, flyovers at Bhikharipur and Manduadih crossings, and a highway underpass tunnel at the Varanasi International Airport-projects collectively worth ₹980 crore.
Strengthening Power Infrastructure
To bolster the region’s electricity infrastructure, the Prime Minister inaugurated two 400 KV and one 220 KV transmission substations in Jaunpur, Chandauli, and Ghazipur, worth ₹1,045 crore.
PM Modi also laid the foundation for additional power projects in Varanasi and Ghazipur valued at ₹775 crore.
During his address, PM Modi highlighted advancements in local healthcare, stating that advanced hospitals, once found only in Delhi or Mumbai, are now accessible in Kashi.
Prime Minister Modi distributed Ayushman Vay Vandana cards to senior citizens- part of a scheme ensuring free treatment for all individuals above 70 years of age, irrespective of income.
PM Modi emphasized that these cards eliminate the need for families to incur debt for medical treatment and that Varanasi has issued the highest number of such cards in India.
GI Certificates & Dairy Bonus
The Prime Minister also presented Geographical Indication (GI) certificates for regional specialties such as tabla, painting, thandai, and tiranga barfi.
Additionally, PM Modi transferred ₹105 crore in bonuses to milk suppliers in Uttar Pradesh associated with Banas Dairy, strengthening the rural economy.
