Live Updates: Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a visit to Gujarat, where he engaged in various auspicious activities and inaugurated significant projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure and healthcare facilities in the region.

Commencing his visit, Prime Minister Modi performed pooja and darshan at the Beyt Dwarka temple, seeking blessings. Subsequently, he inaugurated the Sudarshan Setu around 8:25 am. This remarkable bridge, adorned with verses from the Bhagavad Gita and images of Bhagwan Krishna, features a unique design with solar panels installed on its upper portions, capable of generating one megawatt of electricity. The Sudarshan Setu is poised to streamline transportation and reduce travel time for devotees visiting the Dwarkadhish Temple, replacing the previous reliance on boat transport to reach Beyt Dwarka.

Following these inaugural ceremonies, the Prime Minister is scheduled to visit the Dwarkadhish Temple, a revered pilgrimage site. Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects valued at over Rs. 4150 crore in Dwarka. Notably, this includes the dedication of six new AIIMS facilities to the nation, including AIIMS Rajkot.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate a pipeline project at Vadinar, involving the replacement of existing offshore lines and relocating the entire system to a new location nearby. Additionally, he will dedicate several rail electrification projects, including Rajkot-Okha, Rajkot-Jetalsar-Somnath, and Jetalsar-Wansjaliya lines, contributing to enhanced connectivity and efficiency in the region’s transportation network.

Among the projects slated for foundation stone laying are the widening of the Dhoraji-Jamkandorna-Kalavad section of NH-927D, the regional science center at Jamnagar, and the installation of Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) systems at the Sikka Thermal Power Station, Jamnagar, among others.

Moreover, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for over 200 healthcare infrastructure projects across 23 states and Union Territories, underscoring the government’s commitment to bolstering healthcare facilities nationwide.

Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Gujarat not only highlights the importance of the region but also underscores the government’s dedication to fostering development and prosperity across various sectors for the welfare of its citizens.
