A Veteran Statesman
Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Minister for Housing and Power, is a seasoned politician.
He represents the Karnal Lok Sabha constituency in Haryana.
Born on 5 May 1954 in Nindana village, Rohtak district, Khattar’s family migrated from Jhang in West Punjab after the Partition.
Before entering active politics, Khattar was a full-time pracharak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
His political journey saw a significant milestone when he became the first BJP Chief Minister of Haryana in 2014.
He was sworn in again in 2019 after successfully forming a coalition with the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP).
Dushyant Chautala became his deputy in the alliance.
