Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a comprehensive address on Independence Day, underscoring the pivotal role of the middle class in the nation’s development and affirming the government’s commitment to minimizing bureaucratic interference.

In his speech, PM Modi praised the middle class for their significant contributions to the country and promised to reduce government intrusion in their lives. “The middle class plays a crucial role in our nation’s progress. They seek a high quality of life, and we will strive to ensure minimal government interference,” he stated.

The Prime Minister called on all levels of government to adopt a mission-mode approach to enhance the ease of living for citizens. He also emphasized ongoing efforts to reform the education system, aiming to make India a hub for higher education and reduce the need for students to study abroad. “Our goal is to build an education system so robust that students will find all the resources they need right here in India,” PM Modi said.

In a significant development, PM Modi announced plans to create 75,000 new medical college seats within the next five years. “A developed India in 2047 should also be a healthy India. We have initiated the Rashtriya Poshan Mission to support this vision,” he added.

The Prime Minister also addressed advancements in women’s rights, highlighting an increase in maternity leave from 12 to 26 weeks. “We not only respect women but also ensure that government policies do not obstruct their role as mothers, aiming to support them in raising future citizens with high standards,” PM Modi said.

He further noted that over the past decade, 10 crore women have joined self-help groups, leading to significant financial independence and social change. “Financially independent women contribute to household decision-making, which drives social progress,” PM Modi remarked.

The Prime Minister also reflected on the transformation in public services, noting that citizens now receive amenities directly at their doorsteps. “Previously, people had to plead with the government for basic services; now, they are delivered directly to them,” he stated.

Looking forward, PM Modi expressed confidence in the nation’s future. “The youth of our country are not content with slow progress; they are eager for rapid advancement. This is a golden era for India, and we must seize this opportunity. By pursuing our dreams and resolutions, we can achieve the vision of a developed India by 2047,” he concluded.
