Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday highlighted the outcomes of his recent Council of Ministers meeting, saying the discussions focused on strengthening ‘Ease of Living’, improving ‘Ease of Doing Business’, and accelerating reforms to achieve the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
Taking to the social media platform X, the Prime Minister described the meeting as productive, noting that Ministers exchanged views and best practices on governance reforms aimed at making administration more efficient and citizen-friendly. He reiterated that sustained reform efforts were essential to transform the vision of a developed India into reality.

PM Modi chaired a four-and-a-half-hour closed-door meeting on Thursday, where he urged the Council of Ministers to focus on future goals ahead of the government completing 12 years in office next month. He called for improved delivery systems, citizen-centric governance, and said Ministers should ‘forget what happened in the past and focus on the future’.
The Prime Minister also stressed alignment with the ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ vision, along with reducing bureaucratic delays, speeding up file movement, and boosting productivity across departments.
Nine Ministries, including Agriculture, Labour, Road Transport, Commerce, Power, Corporate Affairs and External Affairs, presented their work and future plans during the meeting.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar briefed the Council on India’s recent five-nation diplomatic outreach, described as successful.
The Prime Minister also encouraged Ministers to communicate the government’s 12-year journey, welfare schemes and reform agenda to the public.
This was the first full Council of Ministers meeting in nearly 11 months, amid speculation of possible administrative changes ahead of the 12-year mark.
