PM Modi Greets Sonia Gandhi On Her 77th Birthday, Wishes For ‘Long And Healthy Life’

In addition to the prime minister, the former head of the Congress was greeted by Mallikarjun Kharge.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished veteran Congresswoman Sonia Gandhi a long and healthy life and sent her birthday greetings. Gandhi is 77 years old.

“Best wishes to Smt Sonia Gandhi Ji on her birthday. May she be blessed with a long and healthy life,” the prime minister wrote on X.

In addition to the prime minister, the former head of the Congress was greeted by Mallikarjun Kharge, KC Venugopal, Shashi Tharoor, and MK Stalin, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
Gandhi, according to Kharge, has consistently fought for the rights of the underprivileged. “A tireless defender of the rights of the marginalised, she has faced hardship with bravery, tenacity, and selfless sacrifice. She has also been a symbol of the highest grace. I hope she lives a long, healthy life.

Gandhi’s dedication to serving the public interest and elevating the underprivileged and marginalised groups in society, according to Venugopal, has won over a billion hearts.

“Her life journey is an inspiration for us all. She steered the Congress through an extremely challenging period with great poise and was the architect of the UPA government that delivered welfare for all and exponential growth for the country,” he said.

Tharoor praised Gandhi saying that she led the Congress with great distinction and continues to be an inspiration for all its leaders and workers. “Long may she enjoy health & happiness and continue to guide our party & serve our nation,” the Congress leader said.

 

Stalin also wished Gandhi a long and healthy life. “May her deep insight and abundance of experience continue to be a guiding light in our collective endeavour to rescue INDIA from autocratic forces,” the writer wrote.
