Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm birthday greetings to Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday.
In his message, he praised Chouhan’s dedication to farmers’ welfare. He also highlighted his efforts towards the development of the agriculture sector.
Taking to the social media platform, the Prime Minister described Chouhan as a leader admired for his humble nature and strong connection with people across the country.

Born on March 5, 1959, in Jait village in Sehore district, Shivraj Singh Chouhan began his public life early through the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and later became active in the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. He also served as president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.
Chouhan entered Parliament from Vidisha in 1991 and went on to serve multiple terms in the Lok Sabha, holding key party and parliamentary responsibilities.
A senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he served four terms as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh after assuming office in November 2005.
During his tenure as Chief Minister, he launched several welfare initiatives, including campaigns against female foeticide and programmes aimed at improving education, healthcare, and social security for women and children.
In 2024, Chouhan took the oath as a Union Minister in the Cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In his current role, he continues to focus on policies supporting farmers and strengthening India’s agriculture sector.
