Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated US President Donald Trump and the people of the United States on the historic 250th anniversary of American Independence.
In a message posted on X, PM Modi conveyed warm greetings on behalf of 1.4 billion Indians and described the occasion as a landmark celebration.
The Prime Minister highlighted the enduring partnership between India and the United States. He said the relationship extends beyond strategic cooperation and rests on shared commitments to democracy, the rule of law and the limitless potential of both nations’ people.
PM Modi further expressed hope that the next 250 years would bring greater peace, prosperity and progress to America while elevating the India-US partnership to new heights.

The Indian Consulate in New York also wished the American people a happy Independence Day through a post on X.

The mission celebrated the two democracies’ shared commitment to freedom, liberty and constitutional values.
The Indian Navy also joined the commemorations by deploying INS Sudarshini to participate in the SAIL4th 250 New York and SAIL Boston celebrations.
The vessel is taking part in the world’s largest gathering of tall ships under the Lokayan 26 transoceanic expedition.
Earlier, INS Sudarshini visited Baltimore after sailing from Norfolk, Virginia, via the historic Chesapeake and Delaware Canal.
The ship represented India during the Sail250 Virginia celebrations held from June 19 to 23 by participating in the Parade of Sail and the City Crew Parade, reaffirming India’s maritime heritage and its enduring naval friendship with the United States.
