PM Narendra Modi on Sunday extended heartfelt greetings to the nation on the sacred occasion of the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Posting on X, PM Modi emphasised the universal values enshrined in the Sikh scripture.
“Warm greetings on the sacred occasion of the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The timeless teachings of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji continue to illuminate lives across the world, reminding us of the values of compassion, humility and service. The teachings inspire humanity to strengthen the spirit of unity and harmony. May we always walk the path of wisdom shown by the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and strive to build a better planet,” he wrote.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath urged devotees to follow the Guru’s teachings to build a peaceful, harmonious society.
Devotees Offer Prayers at Golden Temple
Across Punjab and other parts of India, devotees observed the occasion with deep devotion.
Thousands gathered at the Golden Temple in Amritsar to bow before the Guru Granth Sahib Ji and join the celebrations.
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) organised a Nagar Kirtan (religious procession) from Gurdwara Sri Ramsar Sahib. As every year, SGPC marked the Parkash Purab with reverence and grandeur, hosting devotional events and community service programmes.
The Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the Sikhs’ eternal Guru, teaches equality, peace, devotion, and unity beyond all divisions. Its Gurbani continues to guide humanity toward a higher spiritual purpose and righteous living.
