PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated Kartavya Bhavan-03 at Kartavya Path in New Delhi, dedicating the newly constructed government complex to the nation.
He asserted that the new building reflects the Centre’s strong commitment to creating a ‘Viksit’ (developed) and ‘Atmanirbhar’ (self-reliant) India.
Kartavya Bhavan-03 is the first of several buildings planned under the Central Vista redevelopment project. Designed to streamline government operations, the building will consolidate various central ministries and departments currently functioning from multiple locations across Delhi.
The new complex spans approximately 1.5 lakh square meters, with two basement levels and seven floors (Ground + 6). It will house key ministries such as:
- Home Affairs
- External Affairs
- Rural Development
- MSME
- DoPT
- Petroleum and Natural Gas
- Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA)
