Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said India successfully contained the energy crisis triggered by the conflict in West Asia through prompt decisions, strategic diplomacy and prudent resource management. He made the remarks while inaugurating the country’s most modern integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex at Pachpadra in Rajasthan’s Balotra district.
The Prime Minister arrived at Pachpadra after inaugurating the new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport. He inspected the refinery’s advanced control room and interacted with engineers.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi said the West Asia conflict created the 21st century’s biggest energy crisis. He said India accurately assessed the situation, adopted the right strategy, and effectively managed national resources.
“India made the right decisions at every level. It assessed the crisis accurately in time, formulated an effective strategy, and ensured balanced use of India’s resources. India used its diplomatic power positively, and only then was the country able to emerge from the crisis,” PM Modi stated.
The Prime Minister said government intervention prevented domestic LPG prices from touching Rs 2,000 and kept cylinder prices around Rs 950. He said oil marketing companies incurred losses of Rs 75,000 crore between April and June, which the government absorbed.
PM Modi added that India expanded its fuel sourcing network from 25-26 countries to 40 through strong diplomatic engagement.
The Prime Minister said the government’s behind-the-scenes efforts would become part of history. He further described the refinery as a milestone towards a developed and self-reliant India and said it would generate thousands of jobs.

Criticising the previous Congress government over Rajasthan’s water issues, the Prime Minister said the BJP works with a ‘Nation First’ approach.
