Following the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi broke his 11-day fast known as ‘Anushthan’ on Monday. After Govind Dev Giri Maharaj fed him “Charanamrit,” a delicious beverage made with milk used for rituals, he broke his fast.

PM Modi’s commitment was also commended by Govind Dev Giri Maharaj for finishing his 11-day rites. On January 12, PM Modi declared that he would begin an 11-day special ritual fast that would last until Ram Lalla’s consecration ceremony in Ayodhya. The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for being there at what he called a “historic” and “auspicious” event in an audio message that was uploaded to his official YouTube page.
