Vice President CP Radhakrishnan and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Thursday extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praising his leadership and contributions to India’s development, self-reliance and global standing.
Radhakrishnan, in a post on X, said India was ‘shining as a bright spot in the world’ and remained among the fastest-growing major economies under PM Modi’s leadership. He highlighted progress in space, technology, healthcare, infrastructure and manufacturing, along with the country’s digital transformation.
The Vice President said more than 25 crore Indians had moved out of extreme poverty. He further cited the renaming of backward districts as ‘Aspirational Districts’, border villages as ‘Vibrant and First Villages’ and the North-East as ‘Ashtalakshmi’ as examples of a forward-looking approach aimed at turning geographical marginalisation into empowerment.
Recalling his travels across States and Union Territories over the past year, Radhakrishnan said he had witnessed development reaching even remote parts of the country. He wished PM Modi good health, happiness and strength as he works towards Viksit Bharat @ 2047.

Om Birla, in his X post, said India was confidently carving out a new identity on the global stage under PM Modi’s leadership. He highlighted progress in development, self-reliance, innovation, digital advancement, infrastructure and public welfare.
The Lok Sabha Speaker praised PM Modi’s more than 25 years in public life, saying his journey had contributed to nurturing democratic values and uplifting vulnerable and underprivileged sections of society. He further wished the Prime Minister long life, good health and continued strength to serve the nation.

PM Modi’s 25 Years in Public Life
PM Modi, born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, Gujarat, has served as Prime Minister since May 2014 and as then Gujarat Chief Minister from 2001 to 2014. This year marks 25 years of his public life.
