Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed profound grief over the tragic road accident in Maharashtra’s Solapur district that claimed eight lives, including four women and four children.

In response to the devastating incident, the Prime Minister announced an ex gratia payment of ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) to the next of kin of each deceased victim, while those injured in the accident will receive ₹50,000.

Sharing his condolences through a post on X, the Prime Minister said that he was deeply saddened by the tragic mishap in Solapur Rural, which claimed several lives. He conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved families and offered prayers for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident.
