Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday extended birthday greetings to Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, praising his work to promote India’s cultural heritage and strengthen the tourism sector.

In a post on X, PM Modi appreciated Shekhawat’s efforts to popularise Indian culture and support the growth of tourism. He wished the Union Minister a long and healthy life.

Amit Shah also conveyed his birthday wishes to Shekhawat, highlighting his contribution to preserving India’s culture, traditions and heritage.

In his X post, Shah said Shekhawat’s work under the leadership of PM Modi had helped preserve the country’s rich cultural traditions and glorious heritage while enhancing their prestige globally. He prayed for Shekhawat’s good health and long life.

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who represents Jodhpur in the Lok Sabha, was born on October 3, 1967, in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. He has served as Union Minister for Culture and Tourism since 2024.

Shekhawat’s portfolios cover initiatives related to the preservation and promotion of India’s historical and cultural heritage, as well as efforts to expand the country’s tourism potential.

The birthday messages from PM Modi and Shah highlighted the importance of cultural preservation and tourism in showcasing India’s heritage and strengthening its presence globally.
