PM Narendra Modi, in his response to the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, reiterated his government’s unwavering commitment to propel the nation to unprecedented heights in its third consecutive term.
Amidst a charged atmosphere, PM Modi also took a sharp dig at the Congress-led Opposition.
Characterizing the NDA’s historic victory as unparalleled, PM Modi highlighted that the 2024 electoral outcome had left some bewildered while others had resorted to a slanderous campaign.
“However, in the last few days, certain aggrieved factions have begun to acknowledge the recurrence of history after 60 years,” PM Modi remarked.
Expanding his criticism of the Congress-led INDIA bloc, PM Modi mocked their ‘one-third sarkar’ slogan, asserting that the electorate had decisively endorsed the mandate.
“We have completed 10 years in power, and there are 20 more to go,” PM quipped, in a pointed response to a Congress MP’s remark.
PM Modi commended the electorate for delivering a resounding mandate to the BJP-led NDA, emphasizing that the people had prioritized development and thwarted the divisive agendas of opposition parties.
“The people of India have chosen progress over propaganda, reaffirming their trust in the party that works for their welfare and rejecting those that thrive on falsehoods,” PM Modi asserted amidst vehement protests from the Opposition benches.
Reflecting on the parliamentary democracy’s journey, PM Modi expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the nation for a third consecutive term.
He pledged that the ruling dispensation would harness its full potential to realize the vision of a Viksit Bharat & Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The Prime Minister’s address underscored the government’s resolve to continue its agenda of transformative governance, amidst a charged political atmosphere in the Rajya Sabha.
