Parliament Debates Motion of Thanks for President’s Address; Key Statements and Notices Issued

Discussion on the motion of thanks on President Droupadi Murmu’s address will begin in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha from February 2

In Parliament today, discussions on the motion of thanks for President Droupadi Murmu’s address are set to commence in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha starting from February 2.

In the Rajya Sabha, BJP MP Kavita Patidar will move a motion of thanks for President Droupadi Murmu’s address.

Union Minister Som Prakash is scheduled to provide a statement on the implementation status of recommendations from the 182nd report of the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Commerce titled ‘Ecosystem of Start-ups to Benefit India’ in the Rajya Sabha.

Additionally, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will present a statement on the implementation status of recommendations from the 45th report of the department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Communications and Information Technology regarding Demands for Grants 2023-24 about the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

In the Lok Sabha, Congress MP Manish Tewari has submitted an adjournment motion notice to discuss the India-China border situation.

Congress MP Manickam Tagore has also given an Adjournment Motion notice in the Lok Sabha, seeking a discussion on the implementation of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act of 2014 and the grant of Special Category Status to the state.
