Tensions between India and Pakistan have sharply intensified following a devastating terror attack on 22 April in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, where 26 Indian tourists tragically lost their lives.
The Indian government is reportedly preparing a strong counter-terrorism response, as public outrage and opposition pressure mount over the loss of civilian lives.
Confidential Letter Claims Pakistan PM Shehbaz Hospitalised
Amidst this rising turmoil, social media users have shared an alleged confidential letter, claiming that Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif entered the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Rawalpindi on 27 April.
The document, which has not been officially verified, reportedly originates from the Prime Minister’s Office and is titled ‘Confidential – Hospitalisation of the Honourable Prime Minister at CMH Rawalpindi’.
According to the letter, Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif has been hospitalised for treatment related to haemorrhoids and is under observation by a team of specialist doctors.
The note describes the admission as a precautionary measure and states that the Prime Minister’s condition remains stable.
Sent To Top Officials, Marked Strictly Confidential
The document reportedly addresses several top Pakistani institutions, including the Chief of Army Staff, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, the Director General of the ISPR, and the Director Medical at CMH Rawalpindi.
It includes instructions to maintain confidentiality and not release the information without prior authorisation.
The timing of the hospitalisation has prompted speculation across Indian social media platforms, with users suggesting that the rising Indo-Pak tensions may have contributed to a deterioration in the Pakistani leader’s health.
The terror attack in Pahalgam has caused deep anger in India, and many are calling on the central government to take decisive action against Pakistan.
No Official Confirmation Yet
As of now, there has been no official confirmation or denial from the Pakistani government or its military regarding the authenticity of the letter. Whether the report is genuine or a fabricated rumour remains unclear.
In the backdrop of heightened geopolitical strain, the health of Pakistan’s Prime Minister has become an unexpected focal point in the regional narrative.
The coming days may provide more clarity on both the authenticity of the leaked document and the evolving diplomatic developments between the two neighbours.
