'Galleria VSB' is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its establishment
New Delhi: ‘Galleria VSB’ is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its establishment. On this important occasion, an exhibition of about 55 paintings of 24 renowned artists has been organized by Vandana Bhargava, a renowned jewelry designer and curator of ‘Galleria VSB’, at the location, located on the third floor of Square One Mall, Saket, Delhi. There was a special preview of this exhibition on 29 January. This special exhibition will be open for visitors from 3 pm to 8 pm from January 31 to February 9, 2024.
This painting exhibition at Galleria VSB highlights the works of extraordinary 20th century painters whose unique styles and deep thematic explorations have left a lasting impact on Indian art. His profound works go beyond technical brilliance and convey rich narratives and cultural depth. The theme of this exhibition has been kept as ‘Timeless Strokes: The Masters’.
In this exhibition, works of great painters Nicholas Roerich, Jamini Roy, Asit Kumar Halder, Hemen Majumdar, Narayan Sridhar Bendre, Katingeri Krishna Hebbar, Krishnaji Howlaji Ara, Maqbool Fida Hussain, Somnath Hore, Syed Haider Raza, Kalapati Ganapathy Subramaniam, Francis Newton Souza, Ram Kumar, Vasudev S Gaitonde, Akbar Padamsee, Jagadish Swaminathan, Badri Narayan, B Prabha, Bhupen Khakhar, B Vitthal, Lalu Prasad Shaw, Jogen Choudhary, Chameli Ramachandran and Manjeet Bawa have been showcased.
Many eminent people were present at the preview of the exhibition held on 29 January. These include Dr. Anurag Batra, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of ‘Businessworld Group’ and ‘Exchange4Media’; Well-known businessman and Chairman of ‘Hero Enterprises’ Sunil Kant Munjal; Senior Biju Janata Dal politician and Rajya Sabha member from Odisha Sujit Kumar, former administrative officer Sunil Bhargava; Sunil Chauhan, Managing Director and Head Chef, Fabcafe; Secretary to the President (IAS) Rajesh Verma; Former Union Home Secretary Lakshmi Narayan; Artist Bahar Rohatgi; Some prominent names include dancer Chandni Kumari Singh and Shivani Verma.
Let us tell you that Galleria VSB was founded in the year 2004 by famous jewelry designer Vandana Bhargava. Vandana Bhargava is a distinguished entrepreneur, experienced jewelry designer and art curator. She is the founder and chairperson of the ‘House of VSB’, under which she operates various sub-brands such as ‘White & Yellow’, ‘Galleria VSB’, SKNZ, Luna Jewels and Café VSB. Vandana is a graduate in English Honors from ‘Delhi University’. He initially started his career in the education sector, but changed his career path to pursue his passion for gems and jewellery. She did a Diploma in Jewelery Designing and Diamond Gradation, after which in the year 2004 she established her flagship store “White & Yellow-Signature Jewels”.
Speaking about the significance of the exhibition, Curator Vandana Bhargava says that ‘Timeless Strokes’ is not just an exhibition, it is a deep reflection of visionary people who have shaped the landscape of modern and contemporary art through their unique creativity. His exploration of distinctive styles and themes have expressed profound narratives, emotions and cultural significance, leaving a lasting legacy, inspiring future generations and significantly contributing to the global appreciation of Indian art.
Vandana Bhargava’s jewelery designs not only reflect her love for art, but also serve as a living testament to the rich heritage and culture of India. While empowering artists (especially endangered craftsmen) she collaborates with them to curate and create unique designs. Vandana’s efforts towards heritage art were so appreciated that she subsequently started ‘Galleria VSB’ in Saket, New Delhi in 2004, which houses a captivating collection of rare miniature paintings, sculptures and contemporary art and is a collection of various art schools and periods displays grandeur.
