Pattnaik with Modi
P.M. Modi’s foreign policy, his zero tolerance to corruption and other policies drew high praise from Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik. One should remember that the relationship between Odisha Government and the Union Government currently is at all time high.
Odisha Chief Minister said that he would like to rate P.M. Modi as 8 out of 10. Pattnaik also lauded P.M. Modi for the passage of Women’s Reservation Bill in both houses of the Parliament and commented that his father Late Biju Pattnaik did the same for the local body elections in the state.

Speaking at an event, Pattnaik said that corruptions in the nation have reduced significantly ever since Narendra Damodardas Modi took over the responsibility of Prime Minister. The recently concluded G20 summit, which was a grand success, proves that Indian foreign policy is moving in the right direction and that India is gaining enormous respect in the world stage.

It should be noted that Naveen Pattnaik’s party – the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supported Modi government on crucial issues on the floor of the Parliament. Be it Delhi Services bill, women’s reservation bill, abrogation of article 370 and other such bills.
BJD was a part of ruling NDA till 2009 and now the BJD and BJP is at loggerheads with each other in Odisha. Given the relation of P M Modi and C. M Pattnaik none can even think that their parties are the principal oppositions to each other.
