Vande Bharat has become synonymous with the development of railways in the Modi government. The Prime Minister himself has inaugurated a number of Vande Bharat trains in different parts of India with the one in Rajasthan that happened recently.
Now this high-speed train is set to start its journey in northeast India on May 14, 2023, which is scheduled to be inaugurated by PM Modi and will run between Guwahati and New Jalpaiguri. However, it’s yet to be confirmed if he will do the honours in person or in virtual mode.

IRCTC has not disclosed the list of stations where this train will have a stoppage. Another train that will be starting soon from the northeast region is the Bharat Gaurav tourist train which will run from Dibrugarh and will cover popular religious tourist spots namely Mata Vaishno Devi, Ayodhya, Pyayagraj, and Varanasi.
Spanning over 10 nights and 11 days, the first stop of this train will be at Katra where tourists will visit Mata Vaishnodevi Temple. This train will further depart for Ayodhya where tourist will visit Ram Janma Bhoomi, Hanumangarhi followed by Aarati at Sarayu River.
