The FIR in the Noida Lamborghini crash initially did not mention the driver’s name, sparking allegations of a police cover-up.
The crash left two labourers injured. Noida Police have now added the accused Deepak’s name and explained the delay.
The Lamborghini Huracan belongs to YouTuber Mridul Tiwari, who has 19 million followers.
He was reportedly selling the car and had spoken to Ajmer-based luxury car dealer Deepak.
During a test drive, Deepak lost control and hit two labourers sitting on the roadside.
Police arrested Deepak immediately after the crash. However, the FIR recorded the driver’s name and address as ‘unknown’.
This raised concerns. If the police had already detained him, why was he not named?

Questions also arose over whether the YouTuber’s name should have been included.
The case has been filed under sections related to rash driving and endangering lives.
Noida Police stated that the complainant initially did not know the driver’s identity.
“During the investigation, we identified the accused and updated the FIR. The driver Deepak has been arrested. The car is in police custody, and legal action is underway,” officials said.
Mridul Tiwari was not driving or present in the car at the time. He is unlikely to face legal action unless the car is found to have mechanical faults.
If insured, any compensation will be handled by the insurance company.
