A cash reward of Rs 10 lakh has been announced by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for information regarding the identity of the bomber in the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case in Bengaluru.
The anti-terror agency promised to keep the identity of the informant private in a statement. At least ten persons were injured when a bomb went off at Bengaluru’s well-known Rameshawaram Cafe in the Whitefield neighborhood on March 1.
An improvised explosive device (IED), found in a bag a man had left inside the cafe, caused the explosion. The suspect was captured on local CCTV wearing a mask, a grey t-shirt, and a cap as he entered the cafe. The man entered the cafe, placed an order, and stayed for around nine minutes before leaving. The IED that set off the explosion was in a rucksack that he left behind.
The bomber is between 28 and 30 years old, according to DK Shivakumar, the deputy chief minister of Karnataka. In addition to the NIA, the Bengaluru Police also filed a complaint about the explosion under the strict Explosives Substances Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
