The letter mentions the points due to which, the aggrieved are worried. The first point of tension was wide leverage given “to all kinds of inimical forces under the garb of ‘free press’.”
The second reason of concern was that “Indian taxpayers, are being manipulated by fake news and subterfuge manufactured in China. The fact that a website based in India is actively working for China makes us concerned, distressed, and angry.”
The third and the most disappointing takeaway as per the letter was, “the undermining of the Indian democratic fabric. The so called ‘free press’ covertly funded by China has had a field day challenging our democracy.”
