The highly anticipated New Delhi World Book Fair 2025 officially opens on Saturday at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Running through February 9, the event promises to be bigger and more vibrant than ever, featuring an extensive collection of books, engaging cultural programmes, and thought-provoking discussions.
The fair will be inaugurated by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at 11:30 AM. As the chief guest, she will launch the event and mark the celebrations of India’s 75th year as a Republic. This year’s fair is poise to highlight the nation’s democratic journey and celebrate its achievements.
The theme for this year’s book fair, ‘Republic@75,’ reflects India’s path of nation-building, governance, freedom, equality, and social justice. The fair will showcase democratic values and the principles enshrined in the Indian Constitution. Visitors will gain a deeper understanding of the republic’s framework and the importance of fundamental rights.

The fair will take place at the newly constructed Halls 2-6 (Ground Floor) of Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. It will be open daily from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, offering book lovers, intellectuals, and cultural enthusiasts an excellent opportunity to celebrate literature, learning, and India’s democratic journey.
