Lucknow’s Sarojini Nagar Assembly constituency will witness the formal launch of the ‘Net Zero Sarojini Nagar’ campaign on February 22, 2026. The event will be held from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Bangla Bazaar Police Chowki in Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow.
The programme will be led by Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr Rajeshwar Singh, with noted film actor Sanjay Dutt attending as the chief guest. Organisers said the event will feature a roadshow, interaction with youth, and recognition of individuals who have made notable contributions in the field of environmental protection.
The ‘Net Zero Sarojini Nagar’ campaign aims to reduce carbon emissions in the constituency, promote a greener environment, and implement sustainable development goals at the local level. The initiative will encourage residents to adopt eco-friendly lifestyles and actively participate in tree plantation drives and cleanliness campaigns.
Dr Rajeshwar Singh stated that alongside developmental projects, equal priority is being given to environmental protection and democratic awareness in Sarojini Nagar. He described the campaign as part of a long-term vision to ensure a clean and safe environment for future generations.
Roadshow And Youth Engagement
During the event, Sanjay Dutt will lead a special roadshow across Sarojini Nagar and directly interact with citizens, particularly young people. Individuals recognised as “Paryavaran Veer” for their outstanding environmental service will be honoured with awards and prizes.
The youth interaction will also emphasise the importance of enrolling in the voter list, obtaining voter identity cards, and exercising the right to vote responsibly to strengthen democratic participation.
According to organisers, the programme represents a comprehensive effort to promote environmental protection, youth engagement, and civic responsibility. The February 22 event aims to reflect Sarojini Nagar’s commitment to building a green and sustainable future.
