NDA’s Landslide In Bihar Signals Voter Shift Towards Stability: Muslim Rashtriya Manch

The Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) has described the NDA’s emphatic victory in the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections as a defining moment for Indian democracy, asserting that the mandate reflects a decisive public rejection of confusion-driven politics.

With the NDA crossing the 200-seat mark in the 243-member Assembly, MRM leaders said the result represents a deeper social movement rooted in trust, development, and political maturity.

Shahid Sayeed, National Convener and Media In-Charge of the MRM, said the outcome marks “the rebirth of Bihar’s political consciousness”. He noted that voters had dismissed allegations surrounding voter list revisions, SIR procedures, and claims of electoral malpractice, instead rewarding performance and governance.

Dr Shahid Akhtar, National Convener of the MRM, called the outcome “the greatest cleansing of democracy”, saying the verdict reflects a clear rejection of the so-called era of ‘jungle raj’.

Dr Akhtar emphasised that the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has ushered in a climate of security, administrative discipline, and development-focused governance.

He added that the opposition’s attempts to generate mistrust failed because the electorate evaluated ground realities rather than rhetoric. He remarked that this mandate does not merely mark the victory of a political alliance—it defeats negativity.

Muslim Community Shows New Political Outlook

Dr Akhtar further highlighted a notable political shift among Muslim voters. He said the community, especially its youth and educated sections, chose development and stability over fear-based mobilisation. He said that no political group can any longer inherit the Muslim vote, describing the trend as a ‘new social reality’.

Dr Shalini Ali, National Convener and Head of MRM’s Women’s Wing, called the results a ‘women-led transformation’.

With female turnout reportedly reaching between 69 per cent and 74 per cent, she said women voters played a decisive role in shaping the outcome. She attributed the shift to improvements in women’s safety, education, healthcare, and livelihoods under NDA governance.

She added that Muslim women, too, cast aside old fears and misinformation, voting with a focus on their families’ future and long-term development.

The MRM said the election reflects the maturity of the modern Indian voter, who evaluates performance over slogans. The Bihar voters sent a message to national politics: development has triumphed, and they have decisively rejected the politics of confusion.
