NDA Will Protect Assam’s Identity And Future, Says Amit Shah At Rally

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Friday asserted that citizens in Assam have resolved to return the NDA to power to preserve the region’s heritage, identity, and future. He made these remarks while addressing a large rally in Dudhnoi, Goalpara district.

Shah launched a strong critique of the Indian National Congress, alleging it exploited the deaths of Assamese youth for political benefit and fostered instability over decades.

In contrast, he emphasised that the BJP-led administration prioritised peace by signing multiple accords and reintegrating nearly 10,000 youths into mainstream society.

Taking a firm position on illegal infiltration, Shah accused previous governments of allowing unchecked entry into the state. He stated that all infiltrators have been identified and pledged their removal within five years if the NDA is re-elected.

Highlighting welfare initiatives, HM Amit Shah announced plans to establish large dairy units in every district. He also assured support for tribal households through livestock distribution, stressing these commitments as assured outcomes rather than electoral promises.

Shah credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for promoting tribal culture globally, contrasting this with what he described as Congress’s neglect of indigenous communities.

Referring to Droupadi Murmu’s presidency, the Minister said it symbolises the NDA’s dedication to tribal empowerment. He also highlighted educational reforms, including primary instruction in six tribal languages and recognition of Assamese as a classical language.

On the Uniform Civil Code, HM Amit Shah clarified that tribal communities would remain exempt.

Citing cultural initiatives such as memorials for Assam Agitation martyrs and UNESCO recognition for Charaideo Maidam, HM Shah urged voters to support the NDA under Himanta Biswa Sarma, describing it as a force for peace, progress, and cultural preservation.
