On Tuesday, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah congratulated the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) workers after the organisation secured a second consecutive victory in the Panjab University Students’ Union elections.
In a post on X, Shah described the victory as a reflection of the youth’s continued faith in the ‘Nation First’ ideology. He expressed confidence that ABVP workers would follow the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and continue working for the welfare of students.
The Minister praised the workers for their ‘splendid victory’ and said their continued efforts would strengthen their work among students.

Founded by Balraj Madhok on July 9, 1949, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad later grew under the guidance of Prof Yashwantrao Kelkar.
Over the years, ABVP has expanded its presence across educational institutions and emerged as one of India’s largest student organisations.
The ABVP secured a major victory in the Panjab University Campus Students’ Council (PUCSC) elections for the second consecutive time.
The result marks another significant electoral success for the student organisation at the university and strengthens its presence on the campus.
