The Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) has strongly condemned the violence against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh, describing it as a grave violation of human rights and democratic principles.
In response, the MRM is spearheading an international campaign to raise global awareness about the ongoing crisis.
The organization emphasized that silence in the face of such injustice is unacceptable.
MRM also accused the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress of inciting unrest in Sambhal, which has resulted in innocent lives being lost.
The group urged citizens to maintain peace and trust in the Constitution and judiciary to address these issues effectively.
In a late-night meeting at the MRM office in Paharganj, New Delhi, senior leaders and members discussed critical issues.
Key attendees included Mohammad Afzal, Shahid Akhtar, Dr. Majid Talikoti, Shalini Ali, Syed Raza Hussain Rizvi, Girish Juyal, and several other prominent figures.
The gathering concluded with a unanimous decision to raise awareness about the atrocities in Bangladesh.
The Hindu community in Bangladesh faces alarming levels of violence, including temple desecrations and attacks on women.
MRM National Convener Shahid Sayeed condemned these acts, calling them ‘crimes against humanity’.
He stated, “This is not merely a religious issue but a matter of human rights and human dignity. India must take this issue to international platforms.”
To address these concerns, MRM National Convener Mohammad Afzal however announced that the organization will observe Human Rights Week starting 10 December, coinciding with International Human Rights Day.
Nationwide protests are planned to express solidarity with victims and highlight the urgency of the situation.
MRM envisions Human Rights Week as a movement to strengthen justice and unity. The campaign aims to inspire collective action to uphold human rights and dignity globally.
MRM accused the SP and Congress of orchestrating violence in Sambhal, leading to tragic losses. The group urged people to reject political conspiracies, maintain peace, and trust constitutional and judicial mechanisms for justice.
Abu Bakr Naqvi emphasized the importance of maintaining peace during the Ajmer Dargah dispute, highlighting its cultural and spiritual significance to people of all faiths.
MRM urged strict action against those inciting violence and spreading rumors. The group called on citizens to prioritize peace and unity.
Dr. Shalini Ali underscored the sanctity of religious sites like Ajmer Sharif, which symbolize India’s spiritual heritage. She warned that disputes and extremism erode their significance and impede societal growth.
MRM called on all sections of society to stand against extremism and champion values of love, humanity, and peace.
Citing the Sambhal violence as a cautionary example, the organization stressed the need for education, dialogue, and cultural initiatives to foster harmony.
MRM reiterated its commitment to supporting India’s secular fabric and ‘Unity in Diversity’.
The group urged citizens to counter hatred with love and intolerance with compassion, creating a nation where peace and mutual respect prevail.
