Money Laundering Case: Sisodia's Judicial Custody Renewed
The AAP leader Manish Sisodia’s judicial detention in a case involving money laundering connected to the suspected excise fraud was extended by a Delhi court on Tuesday until June 1.

The judge also instructed the jail staff to think about furnishing the lawmaker with a chair, a table, and books inside the cell.
When he was being led out the courtroom, Sisodia informed the reporters that Prime Minister Narendra Modi “does not believe in democracy” in reference to a bill that will replace the Centre’s Ordinance over the Delhi Services issue.

“Modi has become very arrogant,” the former deputy chief minister charged.
The excise policy was put into place by the Delhi administration on November 17, 2021, however it was abandoned at the end of September 2022 due to suspicions of corruption.
In the cases brought by the CBI and ED in the affair, Sisodia is a victim.
