On International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again brought good news for homemakers by announcing a reduction of Rs 100 in the price of domestic gas cylinders (14.2 kg), benefiting numerous families across the nation. This move comes as part of his ongoing efforts to empower women economically. Notably, PM Modi had previously launched the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, aimed at providing subsidized domestic gas cylinders to BPL cardholders, thereby easing the financial burden on households.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi introduced several other initiatives targeted at women’s empowerment. These include the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, PM Swanidhi Yojana, Namo Drone Didi, and PM Awas Yojana, all of which have positively impacted the lives of countless women across various regions of the country.
In celebration of International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his social media platform, X account (formerly Twitter), to share several videos highlighting the significant benefits these schemes have brought to impoverished and marginalized families. These initiatives have not only contributed to women’s empowerment but have also had a transformative effect on communities nationwide.
