Modi Blasts Congress for Neha’s Tragedy, Accuses Party of Appeasement Politics

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during an election rally in Ballari, criticized the Congress government’s policies, holding them responsible for the recent murder of a college student in Hubbali and a blast in Bengaluru. Accusing the Congress of prioritizing appeasement politics over security concerns, Modi emphasized the dangers of such a mindset for both Karnataka and the nation. He particularly condemned the Congress’s alleged association with the banned outfit, PFI (Popular Front of India), labeling it as a perilous organization aimed at national destruction.

Modi highlighted the government’s actions against PFI under his leadership, asserting that the Congress’s sympathy towards the outfit for personal gains has led to grave consequences, including the recent blast in a Bengaluru cafe. Regarding the tragic murder of Neha Hiremath, a 23-year-old student, Modi lamented the lack of safety for women under Congress rule, citing it as a result of flawed policies driven by the pursuit of vote banks.

The incident involving Neha Hiremath, stabbed to death by her classmate Fayaz Khondunaik, stirred controversy, with Neha’s family claiming it was due to her refusal of Fayaz’s marriage proposal. While the Congress attributed the crime to personal reasons, the BJP alleged “love jihad,” further intensifying the political discourse surrounding the incident.

In a separate rally in Karnataka, Modi remarked on the internal turmoil within the Congress party, predicting an eventual public manifestation of the “civil war” among its factions. This observation coincided with the resignation of Delhi Congress chief Arvinder Singh Lovely, hinting at deeper rifts within the party.

Overall, Modi’s speeches underscored his criticism of the Congress’s governance approach, linking it to incidents of violence and instability in Karnataka while positioning the BJP as a contrasting force prioritizing security and development.
