Mehbooba Mufti hugs Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi
Bharat Jodo Yatra: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and People Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti joined Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Anantnag district on Saturday. After staying for a day in Chersu village, Rahul Gandhi started his journey toward Srinagar on Saturday morning. In Awantipora, the former chief minister and her daughter Iltija Mufti joined the yatra and accompanied the senior Congress leader. On the other hand, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra participated during the yatra at Lethpora in Pulwama district. During this, the PDP chief hugged Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
Officials said that strict security arrangements have been made along the route of the yatra. On Friday, the Bharat Jodo Yatra was stopped at Banihal in Jammu and Kashmir. Regarding this yatra being taken out under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, the Congress had alleged that security is not being provided in the yatra, due to which it has been stopped.

No Security No Yatra
When the Bharat Jodo Yatra stopped at Banihal in Jammu and Kashmir, Rahul Gandhi said that during the Yatra, the security system of the police collapsed. Policemen were not seen after leaving the tunnel. My security personnel said that we cannot go any further. I had to stop my journey, others were traveling. It is the responsibility of the administration to control the crowd. Bharat Jodo Yatra started at 9 am. But it was stopped as soon as the yatra reached Banihal.
On the other hand, regarding the Bharat Jodo Yatra on Saturday, Kashmir ADGP Vijay Kumar said, “We are providing three-tier security, all security arrangements have been made. Bharat Jodo Yatra is going on smoothly. Traffic has also been diverted so that there will be no problem. There was no security lapse yesterday (Friday) and many people participated in the walkathon. Congress sources said the yatra would end at Pantha Chowk on the outskirts of Srinagar city on Saturday
