Massive Fire Breaks Out At Noida High-Rise Apartment In Sector 74

A significant fire was reported on Friday morning in an apartment located on the 12th floor of a residential building within IVY County Society in Sector 74, Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

Fire and emergency personnel were dispatched immediately after authorities received information about the incident.

The housing complex comes under the jurisdiction of the Sector 113 police station.

Rescue and firefighting teams began operations soon after arriving at the location.

Footage from the scene showed large flames and thick clouds of black smoke emerging from the balcony of the affected apartment. The sight led to anxiety among residents living in the high-rise development.

Firefighters remain engaged in efforts to contain the blaze and secure the building.

Officials have yet to establish the reason behind the fire, although no casualties or injuries have been reported at this stage.

Another fire was reported later in the day in the Gijhor area of Noida’s Sector 52. Preliminary reports indicate that the fire began in an office located on the ground floor of a multi-storey building.

The upper floors of the property are being used as a hostel or paying guest accommodation.

Fire service personnel responded quickly after receiving the alert and are continuing efforts to prevent the flames from spreading to other parts of the structure.

Investigators are still examining the cause of the incident.

The two fire incidents in Noida were reported just days after a devastating hotel blaze in Delhi’s Hauz Rani area of Malviya Nagar. The tragedy has renewed concerns over fire safety measures in densely populated urban areas.

The fire at the Flourish Stay hotel claimed at least 21 lives. Several other people also sustained injuries in the incident.

Delhi Government to Review Fire Safety Measures

Following the disaster, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is expected to chair a high-level review meeting. The discussion will focus on improving fire safety mechanisms across the capital.

The meeting will also examine issues related to unauthorised constructions.

Authorities are expected to consider measures aimed at preventing similar incidents in the future.

Hotel owner Lavkesh Bajaj has been arrested and placed in police custody as the investigation progresses.
